- Maxfest started off in 2007 as a celebration of our good buddy Max Baker.
The previous year he was concerned about a lump on his neck. He made the comment that before he died, if he were to, that he wanted to see a few of his favorite bands get together and throw a great show.
Thankfully the lump they found on him was benign and removed safely. But the seed was planted for an idea that has gained four years of momentum.
Max is a legend in his own time. A healer, sage, music afficianado, and all around badass.
