We’ve been told today that yesterday wasn’t just a win for Obama…it was a win for American democracy.

People were finally energized to come out to the polls and both candidates broke records for the amount of votes they received.

However…where are the totals proving this?

MSNBC just called it, but I’m linking to CNN.

The state has 8 electoral votes.

A rare appearance from Obama’s campaign manager on MSNBC today…

The vibe I get from Plouffe is that he’s cautious, steady and patient.

You know, sort of like this boss.

Why is this significant? Because 51% of those were Dems, 30% were Repubs and 19% were Indies.

So with 2.6M votes already in the bank, Dems have at least 1.3M of those to Repubs 860K.

Still, the turnout on election day promises to be massive.

That’s one of the numbers I’m hearing today about Obama’s consistent lead.

Not surprisingly, he doesn’t see good things for McCain.

In fact, it’s so grim that he essentially says that if McCain wins, nobody should trust him anymore.

Pretty bold, but I have the same feelings. I know people have been hemming and hawing about the fact that “anything” could happen, but nobody has provided any sort of reality to back that up.
