130M+ Voted Yesterday. Or Did They?

Donklephant  Wed, 11/05/2008 - 2:42pm

We’ve been told today that yesterday wasn’t just a win for Obama…it was a win for American democracy.

People were finally energized to come out to the polls and both candidates broke records for the amount of votes they received.

However…where are the totals proving this?

Plouffe On Obama’s 16 Campaigns

Donklephant  Tue, 11/04/2008 - 4:09pm

A rare appearance from Obama’s campaign manager on MSNBC today…

The vibe I get from Plouffe is that he’s cautious, steady and patient.

You know, sort of like this boss.

41% Have Early Voted In North Carolina

Donklephant  Tue, 11/04/2008 - 11:46am

Why is this significant? Because 51% of those were Dems, 30% were Repubs and 19% were Indies.

So with 2.6M votes already in the bank, Dems have at least 1.3M of those to Repubs 860K.

Still, the turnout on election day promises to be massive.

MSNBC reports…

111 Consecutive National Polls

That’s one of the numbers I’m hearing today about Obama’s consistent lead.

Charlie Cook Talks Electoral Predictions

Donklephant  Sat, 11/01/2008 - 5:44pm

Not surprisingly, he doesn’t see good things for McCain.

In fact, it’s so grim that he essentially says that if McCain wins, nobody should trust him anymore.

Pretty bold, but I have the same feelings. I know people have been hemming and hawing about the fact that “anything” could happen, but nobody has provided any sort of reality to back that up.

In any event…check out this clip…

26 Million Watched Obama Infomercial

Donklephant  Thu, 10/30/2008 - 2:04pm

Including this man, who accounted for 17 of the viewings.

More from WSJ:

Barack Obama’s prime-time infomercial drew 26.3 million viewers across three broadcast networks last night, according to early ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

A Look Back At The Campaign

Donklephant  Tue, 10/28/2008 - 4:04pm

MSNBC compiles a fun six minute piece that chronicles from start to (almost) finish.

Is it sad or awesome that I remember every single one of those interviews and soundbites?

I’ll go with awesome.

MSNBC Profiles Bob Barr

Donklephant  Tue, 10/28/2008 - 12:17pm

Is Barr this year’s Nader? Probably not because this doesn’t appear to be a close call.

However, he could definitely siphon off crucial votes in New Hampshire and Georgia.

So, will Barr help bring about an Obama landslide?
