Austin punky and poppy band The Impossibles are reuniting with a show at the Mohawk on June 9th.
The band originally formed after the demise of another band called Fat Girl in 1994, and so came the Impossibles, who combined bright alternative rock with ska and punk leanings.

A lot of Texas bands sing about our state’s wide-open spaces and natural beauty, but the Asteroid Shop use all this terrain as a springboard for something a bit more extra-terrestrial.
After touring the country during the last half of 2011, the group is coming home to the Mohawk tonight to celebrate an auspicious start.

East Coast, West Coast, Third Coast—the members of My Jerusalem have lived up to their Biblically-inspired name with a lot of their own desert wandering.
But the one constant is singer Jeff Klein, who has carefully guided My Jerusalem into the Austin spotlight with a howling delivery and big, big songs.
That trademark sound will get a workout tonight at the Mohawk.

Minneapolis artist Astronautalis, a.k.a.
Charles Andrew Bothwell, has rightfully garnered comparisons to Beck for his ability to blend together elements of hip-hop, indie rock, and electronic music.

Even if lead singer Raphaelle Standell-Preston hadn't said "I don't think we've had this much fun on stage all tour," towards the end of their set, it was obvious that Braids were enjoying themselves immensely throughout their gorgeous performance at the Mohawk.
