longhorn football
Daily Texan Sun, 10/09/2011 - 11:01pm
One weekend a year, Longhorn football becomes just as important to the city of Dallas as it is to Austin.
The Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau estimated about 92,000 UT and Oklahoma fans flock to the DFW metroplex annually for the Red River Rivalry.
Phillip Jones, DCVB president, said an estimated $34 million was spent over the course of the 2011 Texas-OU weekend by both Longhorn and Sooner fans.

I was four for four for excellent meals this weekend, and I can’t wait to share them all with you!
First things first, it is Monday morning so obviously this means you all are counting the seconds until this weekend’s upcoming 3 days of fun in the sun and R&R.

The wait is finally over! Alright, Garrett Gilbert, let's make some RICE-cakes. UT v. RICE!!!
The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has established itself as the premiere spot for watching UT Longhorn football in Austin.
We feature all games on our movie screen in Dolby Surround Sound and state of the art video projection. With the *possible* exception of live in the stadium, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is the best spot for the serious football fan.
All eyes in the auditorium are focused on the movie screen, where the action on the field will be larger than life!

Longhorns vs Sooners. Texas vs Oklahoma. Varied Terrain vs Endless Plains. Man vs Nature. Nature vs Machine. Whataburger vs Whatever they have up there, probably Hardy's.
All the great battles of yesteryear and tomorrowville will be smelted into one epic cannonball and dropped from outer space onto the Cotton Bowl field in Dallas for our viewing pleasure - it's THE RED RIVER SHOOTOUT 2009!!!
To be perfectly honest, we're Longhorn fans around here, but Sooners are welcome too.
