Relay For Research - 40 Miles For Missy

40 Mile charity run at Lady Bird Lake. All proceeds will benefit life-saving research of Brain Aneurysm Disease.

Runners and Walkers are welcome. Relay teams can consist of 1 to 10 members. The Relay will be a team effort for a total of 40 miles.

You can walk or run 20 miles with a 2 member team, 10 miles with a 4 member team, 5 miles with an 8 member team, etc.

Entry Fee is $100 per team, plus $400 in pledge donations per team.

On Thursday, October 11th, the citizens of Austin were out in full force attempting to convince our City Council to do the right thing--- to rebuild our animal shelter on the shores of Town Lake (now Lady Bird Lake).  Regrettably, the Council made the wrong decision; they decided, by a 6-1 vote, to relocate Austin's animal shelter to a difficult-to-find, out-of-sight, out-of-mind site near the intersection of Airport Boulevard and East 7th Street.

But not all was lost!&am...
