Violinist Stanislav Pronin Gives Free Recital, Open to Public

Russian violinist Stanislav Pronin, accompanied by pianist Christopher Guzman, is giving a free recital, open to the public, at Jessen Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m.

Jessen Auditorium is located in Homer Rainey Hall on the university campus at the corner of Guadalupe and West 21st Street.

Tuesday, Sept. 14, 7 p.m., Jessen Auditorium, Homer Rainey Hall. The Harry Ransom Center commemorates the opening of the David Foster Wallace archive with readings of Wallace's work by writers and actors.

Readers, including Elizabeth Crane, Doug Dorst, Owen Egerton, Chris Gibson and Jake Silverstein, share selections of Wallace's fiction, essays and correspondence.

Wallace's archive is housed at the Ransom Center. This event will be Webcast live at www.hrc.utexas.edu/webcast.

A reception and small display of materials from the Wallace archive follow at the Ransom Center.

Event: In the Harry Ransom Center's second "Music From the Collections" event, pianist Richard Dowling discusses and performs French composer Maurice Ravel's "Trio for piano, violin and cello." This world premiere of the new version of "Piano Trio" will be webcast at www.hrc.utexas.edu/webcast.
