Rep. Grayson's 'Die Quickly' Comment Stirs Debate

Florida Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson became an overnight sensation two weeks ago when he said the Republican health care plan was "die quickly." And back in his home district Monday night, a town hall meeting on health care for his constituents drew partisans on both sides of the debate.

White House May Drop 'Public Option'

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has signaled the Obama administration is willing to make a deal on a key part of the health care plan that the president has been pushing.

Sebelius told CNN on Sunday that the White House would be open to consumer-owned nonprofit co-ops. The co-ops would operate under a national structure with state affiliates, but independent of the government.



 

House Puts Forward Unified Health Care Plan

The big story here is that the House put forward a single bill from three separate committees with competing interests.

That’s significant since this was one of the biggest problems in 1994…each committee put forward their own bills and chaos ensued.
