They’re at it again. Austin’s busiest indie alt classical musicians Peter Stopschinski and Graham Reynolds are going to battle it over the ivories this Sunday at a piano-playing showdown — at a real piano bar no less.
During ‘Steinway to Hell,’ Reynolds and Stopschinski will swap original compositions, play some classics together and separately and throw in a free wheeling pop cover or two, with a few stories along the way.
And throw it down.

Austin indie classical luminaries Golden Hornet Project -- led by Graham Reynolds and Peter Stopschinski -- present their Symphony VI, a project years in the making and their largest yet.
A thirty piece string orchestra conducted by Ludek Drizhal will perform two world premieres and a Texas premiere on February 6 at the Austin Ventures Studio Theater.

Graham Reynolds and Peter Stopschinski — perhaps Austin’s busiest musicians and certainly some of the most prolific artists of any discipline in town — will premiere the sixth symphonies together on Feb. 6.
The duo’s Golden Hornet Project will premiere Reynolds’ ‘The Difference Engine’ and Stopschinski’s ‘Rough Night with Happy Ending.’

FRIDAY
Manikin at Red 7. One of the most surefire post-punkish bands in Austin.
A little garage rock, a little early Cure, a surf lick here and there, a random trumpet bit here and there.
Excellent! 9 p.m. Free.
