Jets, Giants Want New Home To Host Super Bowl

The NFL's Jets and Giants want to bring the championship game to the new stadium they will share. It's in New Jersey, just across from New York City.

It has neither a retractable roof nor a dome. One time only, the league will waive the requirement that the Super Bowl be played in warm weather or indoors.

So the new stadium is allowed to bid to host the Super Bowl in 2014.



 

Newspapers Use Readers To Break, Analyze News

When the U.S. government declassified a CIA inspector general's report on the treatment of terror suspects by the CIA, two leading newspapers didn't simply explain it to readers.

They independently asked readers to tell them what it meant. Those giants of journalism took a page from their younger online rivals.



 

Hops crisis: Beer on the brink

The effects of the hops shortage are just starting to manifest now in early 2008. The cost of hops has as much as tripled for some varieties in as many months.

In response, many breweries — including giants like Anheuser Busch — are raising prices to combat the resulting profit cuts.
