The U.S. Army says a 49-year-old brigadier general has died in Afghanistan.
A statement posted on the Fort Hood website says Brig.
Gen. Terence Hildner died Friday in Kabul of apparent natural causes.
Hildner has commanded the 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command at Fort Hood since August 2010.

A military judge on Thursday could decide whether to delay the murder trial for the Army psychiatrist charged in the Fort Hood shooting rampage.

Nidal Hasan will be back in court at a hearing when his attorneys are expected to tell the judge why they're seeking the delay.

Army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan faces 13 counts of premeditated murder and could face the death penalty for his alleged shooting of 12 soldiers and a civilian at a processing center for soldiers about to be deployed.
Once the case goes to trial, it promises to be one of the highest profile cases ever within the military's justice system, and the Army is trying to do it by the book.
