Investigators tell NPR that they are trying to understand what motivated Loughner to lash out.

FBI Raids 3 Hedge Funds In Trading Probe

The FBI raided the offices of three hedge funds believed to be part of a wide-ranging insider trading probe on Monday.

Two offices were raided in New York and one Boston. The FBI would say only that the raids took place and that they executed court-ordered search warrants.
