There were more people, new people, and more excitement than usual at my polling place today (via Huevos Rancheros)

There’s a feeling of excitement around today’s expected launch of Android, Google’s long-anticipated mobile operating system.

But when I drove past a few electronics stores last night, I didn’t see anyone camping out the way people were lined up for Apple’s iPhone.

I suspect there’s some confusion about what Android is, exactly.

In most cases, a shareholder’s meeting is usually a sleeper. But today, all eyes are on Yahoo’s meeting, underway now at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose.

At InterPlay, the first conference devoted entirely to the growing genre, there's a lot of excitement, if not much certainty about business models.

The last day of the spring semester brings a variety of emotions - anxiety about finals, excitement for graduation or anticipation for summer travels - but for some members of the UT community, the day will be focused on grieving and reflecting.

Texas players and fans are in for double the excitement this evening.

You'd expect a 9-2 victory over the No. 8 team in the nation in their home field to cause a bit more excitement in 40 Acres.

But then again, I guess the record-setting (and laughably embarrassing) 31-12 and 13-2 killings Texas was handed the two days before by Missouri might force you to overlook Sunday's modest-in-comparison win.

After enjoying the excitement of their 9-2 win over Oklahoma State on Sunday, it is now time for the Texas softball team to put their game faces on again.
