Big announcements for Transmission Events: Scarface is playing a show on the 10th at Mohawk, and Thurston Moore will perform at St.
David's Episcopal Church on Friday, February 11th, the same night the Lemonheads play It's a Shame About Ray in its entirety at the Mohawk.

December 11, 2009. A Gift of Improvised Jazz and Laughter. A Texas Holiday tradition, A Child's Christmas in Wales returns this year to St David's Episcopal Church to celebrate the season, giving Austin the gift of laughter and improvised jazz.
A wonderful way to welcome the season with a feeling of good will and warmth...great for creative music fans and children of all ages!

The great Billie Holiday died of drug and alcohol related causes on July 17, 1959. To celebrate her life on the anniversary of her death, David Stevens and the Morris Nelms Quartet, featuring Alex Coke on sax, will play Lady Day songs at St.
David’s Episcopal Church (301 East 8th Street).

The Episcopal Church has purchased the downtown block bounded by Seventh, Eighth, Trinity and Neches streets for $9.5 million.
The national church organization plans to spend an additional $40 million to create a new complex to house its national archives.
