Republican governors are meeting in Miami. It's a bad time for Republicans. Not only did Barack Obama rewrite the electoral map, congressional Democrats picked up more than 20 House seats.

The good news: No sitting Republican governors were defeated on Election Day.

The first batch of states to close their polls include several that could provide early clues as to how Election Day may conclude

Stocks surged Tuesday, with the Dow gaining over 300 points, as millions of Americans battered by the weakened economy turned out to vote for the next President of the United States.

Why is this significant? Because 51% of those were Dems, 30% were Repubs and 19% were Indies.

So with 2.6M votes already in the bank, Dems have at least 1.3M of those to Repubs 860K.

Still, the turnout on election day promises to be massive.
