As consumerism takes a hit during the economic downturn, people who repair what you already own are getting a boost.
In 2008, more than 26 million digital music players were sold, and from New York to California, repair companies — like New York City's "iPod Doctor" — are springing up to fix them.

He’s repeating a lot of what he said earlier in the year, but I still think selling idea of passing health care reform as essential to our long term economic strength is a tough pill to swallow for Independents.
What’s more, if this editorial would have dropped a few weeks ago it would have held a lot more weight because it wouldn’t be seen as a response to criticism.
But now it feels defensive, and that’s not where Obama wants to be in this fight.

We all know that universal health care has been incredibly hard to achieve, but budget neutral universal health care?
Well, that seems nearly impossible. Well, nearly impossibly politically. So if Obama can pull it off it’ll be a feat indeed.

New college graduates are finding out that looking for work in an economic downturn is not the best time to be looking for work.
Recent graduates do have a leg up on older job-hunters: it's a lot easier for a 22-year-old — unburdened by mortgage and kids — to go to where the work is.
