The blogosphere can cough up a lot of interesting controversies. This week’s revolved around a Dunkin Donuts’ online ad featuring Rachel Ray in a scarf similar to the Arab keffiyeh which has come to symbolize Palestinian militantism.

Dunkin' Donuts has pulled a new ad featuring Rachael Ray after some bloggers said it promoted terrorism. In the ad, Ray is wearing a scarf similar to the black and white kaffiyeh that conservative commentators note was popularized by Yasser Arafat.

Dunkin' Donuts' advertising campaign "America Runs on Dunkin" is created out of a sentiment among customers that they wanted to buy a good, simple product.

Brand guru Leslie Bielby says the campaign expands the retailer's appeal.
