Bush Meets with 'Friendly Faces' in Last Europe Trip

President Bush is meeting with European leaders Tuesday in Slovenia for the annual U.S.-European summit. It's the first stop on the last scheduled European trip of his presidency.

The weeklong tour will take him to Britain, Germany, Italy and France. NPR White House correspondent Don Gonyea says he's meeting mostly with his longtime allies.

Obama Campaign Downplays W.Va. Loss

The campaign downplayed the loss. Obama's only campaign event Tuesday was a town hall meeting in Missouri, where he looked ahead to the general election.

Obama Looks Ahead to Indiana

Bush Administration the First Steered by Oilmen

Oil remains central to foreign and domestic concerns. While the administration tries to play this down, the White House has produced a consistent approach to energy policy focused on finding new supplies and securing the old.
