'Bad News Bears' Kid Runs For Congress

David Pollock played one of the kids in the movie made famous in the 1970s. He played Rudi Stein, the nervous kid with glasses who got on base by intentionally getting hit with a pitch.

Pollock is running as a Democrat in the new 26th Congressional district in California.

Public Option Short On Democrat Votes In Senate

Most polls show a majority of Americans want health care overhaul to include a public option, or government insurance program that competes with private insurers.

So it might seem logical that Senate Democrats would include a public option in their bill. But no decision has been made yet, because it's not clear how many Democrats would back a public option.
