The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing has established two new graduate nurse practitioner programs to help alleviate the critical shortage of acute care pediatric and neonatal nurses.
The school is partnering with Dell Children's Hospital and Pediatrix Medical Group to teach and train more students in these areas.

I want to follow up on this post by M1EK on the Austin Children's Museum planned move from downtown to Mueller. I'm personally disappointed with the move.
My wife has taken my son to ACM several times, usually with other moms, and grabbed lunch or gelato afterward or ridden the 'Dillo, which he loves.
I live south, so we probably won't go to Mueller very often.

With the opening of Milago, the Shore, and 360 over the last year or two, a few more kids have moved into downtown condos with their parents.
This is great news for downtown diversity, given that -- amazingly enough -- almost no kids lived downtown prior to the recent wave of development.
