Scotland Still Defending Lockerbie Bomber Decision

The fallout from the decision to free the only man convicted in the Lockerbie bombing continues to grow. Libyan Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, who's terminally ill, was freed from a Scottish prison last week on compassionate grounds.

Since then, there's been mounting criticism of those who made the decision to release the convicted bomber, especially the Scottish justice secretary.

Scottish Government Releases Lockerbie Bomber

The only man ever convicted in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, is being released from prison.

The Scottish government says terminally-ill Abdel Baset al-Megrahi will be allowed to return to his home country of Libya on compassionate grounds.

All 259 people aboard the flight were killed as well as 11 on the ground
