The English-language version of the online encyclopedia will shut down for 24 hours Wednesday to protest an anti-piracy bill in Congress.
Visitors to Wikipedia will be encouraged to call Congress. The site's co-founder Jimmy Wales tweeted he hopes visitors "will melt phone systems in Washington."

Google's latest attempt to compete with Facebook is its new social network called Google Plus. The launch party was by invitation-only but some how Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg got in.
Now more than 40,000 follow Zuckerberg, making him the most-followed person on Google Plus.

Small business owners no longer have to purchase scanning devices or pay processing fees to be able to accept credit cards.
Square, a device and phone application developed by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, lets them collect on-the-spot payments with a cell phone.

It took Evan Williams, co-founder of Twitter, a lot more than 140 characters to explain why he is stepping down as CEO.
In his two-year tenure at the top, Twitter has grown from three million users to 160 million. And Williams apparently has outgrown the Tweet -- it took him a seven-paragraph, blog post to explain his departure.

Twitter is donating its archives of tweets to the Library of Congress. The tweets go back to the first one posted by co-founder Jack Dorsey on March 21, 2006.
Fifty million tweets are sent each day including some @MorningEdition.
