Expiring Bush Tax Cuts Weigh On Midterm Elections

During this fall's elections, Congress will have to take up a controversial issue -- deciding whether to extend a series of tax cuts that are set to expire at the end of this year.

The cuts were passed during the Bush administration at a time when the economy was a lot stronger. The Obama administration argues some of the tax cuts should be allowed to lapse.

Parties Face Off Over CIA Interrogation Briefings

Republicans have used a CIA memo to point out that top Democrats who were briefed on interrogation techniques used under the Bush administration did not act to stop them.

But Democrats say that's not fair, arguing that they had few options for taking action on what was classified information.
