Of the 100 congressional districts with the highest uninsured rates, 53 are represented either by Republicans — who are fighting Obama's attempt to overhaul health care — or by Blue Dogs — conservative Democrats who have slowed down and diluted overhaul proposals.

Listen, I truly hope that the Dems don’t use the reconciliation process to try and get the health care reform bill passed.
Why? Well, it seems if they took this path they’d have to break up the legislation in two pieces, the budget portion and the insurance reform portion.
The budget they could do via reconciliation no problem. But the insurance reforms? Well, since they don’t have anything to do with earmarking money, this couldn’t be done via reconciliation.

Not a whole lot of good has come the way to the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) these days.
The only organization I can think of that gets more right wing scorn has been ACORN, who I think mostly get picked on because they don’t fight back.
Another ally, Health Care for America Now (HCAN), is seeing similar problems getting its legislative priorities passed.

It boils down to this…a public option will remain, but co-ops will be part of the deal too.
This will likely pass in the House, and the public option will be booted from the Senate’s version.
