Whether or not you plan on attending Austin City Limits Music Festival this weekend you’ve probably already started scoping out the after-parties that the festival’s presence causes to blossom all over town like hypercolor petunias.

While it might cost you an arm and a leg to catch an intimate acoustic set with Coldplay at The Victory Grill or a My Morning Jacket DJ set at Threadgills, you can still get a massive bang for your buck by hitting up this unofficially awesome post-ACL fete at going down at Beauty Bar come Saturday evening.

Last week's announcement of some late additions to the Chaos in Tejas lineup conjured a brilliantly twisted alignment of a band with a venue. The Dillinger Escape Plan (DEP), one of the most intense hardcore bands of any sort, will play Beauty Bar, along with Ceremony.

While it could be argued that the Chaos in Tejas festival has really come into its own in the last couple of years, the genre-bending but primarily extreme music focused/multi-day festival was conceived by one-man powerhouse Timmy Hefner seven years ago.

Though the project for which she's most known - that would be the influential feminist electropunk group Le Tigre - has been mostly on hiatus since 2007, JD Samson has stayed rather active, touring as a member of Peaches' live band, co-founding a performance art troupe called "Dykes Can Dance", and working on the remix project MEN.
