The Wall Street crisis has a lot of ordinary investors worried about their portfolios. Knight Kiplinger, editor in chief of Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine and the Kiplinger Newsletter, says people should ride out the bear market.
He believes if investors want a safer environment, they should move their money into CDs or money market funds.

Sadly, the bull died Wednesday. With all the bear market headlines this week, Wall Street traders could surely use every bull that's out there.

Question: I have a pretty vanilla investment portfolio and an advisor who tells me to stay the course every time I call him while freaking out about the market.
This money is my nest egg. I invest conservatively with mutual funds not individual stocks/ bonds. In other words, should I stay the course or freak out and sell?
