Unions Shocked By American Airlines Proposed Cuts

American Airlines is looking to cut 13,00 jobs as part of a restructuring. The company — which is in bankruptcy — also wants to reduce salaries by 20 percent and end its pension plan.

Demonstrations In Athens Turn Deadly

Thousands of people in Greece's capital took to the streets to protest harsh spending cuts aimed at saving the country from bankruptcy.

But the demonstrations turned deadly; a fire erupted, and at least three people were killed.

Retirees Fret GM's Bankruptcy

Retirees are losing some of their benefits as the company goes through bankruptcy. Many worry they could lose even more if the big auto maker's fortunes don't turn around quickly.
