Austin Pictures, Saturday, 10/1 at 8PM, ACL Live at the Moody Theater

Can you imagine one guitarist playing an entire symphony?

Supremely gifted guitar wizard Jorge Caballero will play Pictures at an Exhibition – one of the most famous orchestra pieces of all time – on solo guitar at the spectacular new ACL Live space on Saturday, October 1st.

The evening will be filmed for TV by KLRU, and broadcast live by KMFA.

And that’s just the beginning…

Celebrate July 4th with the sights and sounds of the Austin Symphony live on News 8 at 9:30 p.m.

The best and most popular firework show in Austin on Saturday is free!  Don’t miss the H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert and Fireworks at Auditorium Shoes, The Long Center.

 Fireworks start at 9:30 pm and will be shot above Lady Bird Lake.  Food and drink will be sold on site.  And most importantly, please donate chew treats to Town Lake Animal Center because the fireworks frighten and stress the dogs.

 Help keep the dogs calm by bringing rawhide to the Town Lake Animal Center before July 4th.

Well the 4th of July will be here before you know i, here are some of the events scheduled around the Austin area celebrating Independence day...The largest 4th of July event in Austin is the H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert Fireworks he Held at Auditorium Shores, The Long Center.

The Austin Symphony will perform patriotic music, including the 1812 Overture, which will feature the shooting of cannons by the Texas National Guard Salute Battery.

Fireworks will be shot over Lady Bird Lake. The orchestra will begin playing at 8:30 p.m. and fireworks start at 9:30 p.m., lasting through 10.
