The Crestview Green Neighbor Initiative is starting a new offshoot group, Friends of Brentwood Park (FOBP).
This new group has signed an Adopt-A-Park agreement with the Austin Parks and Recreation Department. Our first work day is scheduled for Saturday, December 5th from 9 am to noon.
Our task will be simple but important: spreading mulch! We will mulch several bare areas under large trees where the soil has been compacted by lots of use, and around newly planted young trees.

Want to win a pair of 3-day sold out passes to ACL? The Austin Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteers to help clean up the newly renovated area of Zilker Park and a chance to be rewarded with ACL passes.
The ‘Great Lawn’ near Barton Springs Rd. needs volunteers to help mulch trees, weed volleyball courts, and clean up sidewalks.
Volunteer days are all Saturdays: July 11,18, and 25 from 9am to noon. Volunteers on each of the Saturdays will be eligible to win a pair of passes.
Just show up, sign in, and get to work!
