This weekend was the 10th annual Austin City Limits Musical Festival in Zilker Park.

Thousands of music fans from across the country and around the world descended on the park for three days of grand performances.

This year’s headlining acts included Coldplay, Kanye West, Arcade Fire and Stevie Wonder. Three Daily Texan reporters attended the festival and following are the best (and worst) of each day’s events.

The Austin City Limits Music Festival began its 10th year with something unfamiliar to Central Texans -- rain.

A short rain shower coincided with crowds pouring through gates at Zilker Park at 11 a.m.

Whether or not you plan on attending Austin City Limits Music Festival this weekend you’ve probably already started scoping out the after-parties that the festival’s presence causes to blossom all over town like hypercolor petunias.

While it might cost you an arm and a leg to catch an intimate acoustic set with Coldplay at The Victory Grill or a My Morning Jacket DJ set at Threadgills, you can still get a massive bang for your buck by hitting up this unofficially awesome post-ACL fete at going down at Beauty Bar come Saturday evening.

The moment the “Star Wars” theme plays this Friday at Zilker Park will mark the 10th anniversary of the Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Residents should prepare for closures, delays due to the event.

There's been a smoking ban in city parks since April (whoops), and we learned yesterday that it will indeed extend to Austin City Limits music festival this weekend.

A public service announcement for anyone who hasn’t yet checked their e-mail: the first round of early-bird tickets for the 2011 Austin City Limits Music Festival will go on sale tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.

If you’re subscribed to the festival’s E-List you should have received an e-mail by now containing a user name and password to buy the early bird passes, which cost $165.

A small number of $50 “souvenir” tickets sold out quickly last week — seemingly as speedily as they were made available.

Another year, another Austin City Limits Music Festival, but this year?s ACL Fest was probably my favorite. (via Coyote Mercury)
