After ten years in downtown Austin followed by less than a year in Wimberley, D Berman Gallery will close its brick-and-mortar location on February 1st.
The gallery will maintain its online presence in the form of a virtual gallery featuring regional artists.

The Austin Lyric Opera has announced that it plans to sell its headquarters building on Barton Springs Road, as well as its music school, in order to save money.
No new facilities for either have been identified yet, but there has been a task force assigned to incorporate the school as its own non-profit organization.

Austin 360 is reporting that Cissi's Market quietly closed their doors yesterday after roughly 2 1/2 years of business on South Congress Avenue.
The Cissi's concept was a combination of cafe, wine bar, wine shop, coffee shop, and specialty grocery store.
It was also reported that Cissi's chef Coi Burruss will move to Town Market, a gourmet grocery on Rainey Street run by the same ownership group.

Among the eight — yes, eight — venues participating in the annual madcap free-for-all that is Free Week, the Parish has up until now been the lone holdout when it comes to releasing a schedule.
The recently renovated room with the immaculate sound had five days (Wednesday Jan. 6 to Sunday Jan. 10) blocked off for the event but no word on which artists would be playing.
