Prof named to national society for pharmacists

Diane Ginsburg, assistant dean and clinical professor of The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, has been elected president-elect of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).

She becomes president of the organization in June 2010. Ginsburg specializes in ethics and the legal and regulatory aspects of pharmacy and healthcare.

Professors Ellzey and Ritter named vice provosts

Dr. Gretchen Ritter, a professor of government and a fellow of the Alma Madden Professorship at The University of Texas at Austin, and Dr.

Janet Ellzey, professor of mechanical engineering and assistant dean for international engineering education, have been appointed vice provosts at The University of Texas at Austin, Provost Steven Leslie said Tuesday.

Former presidential counselor joins LBJ School faculty

Dan Bartlett, former special counselor to President George W. Bush, has been named an adjunct faculty member at the LBJ School of Public Affairs and a Fellow for the school's Center for Politics and Governance.
