As of 2:30pm Sunday, a large fire is very active near the Oak Hill "Y" at the 7400 Block of US Highway 290.
APD is advising everyone to avoid the area if possible, and while mandatory evacuations are not taking place, area residents in neighborhoods like Legend Oaks, Westcreek, Lantana, and Travis Country West should stay tuned to news and/or Twitter for updates.
