Anti-reform advocates are the gift that just keeps on giving.
Take the case of David McKalip, who sent the above image out to his email list.
Does he genuinely not understand the implications of distributing trash like this?
Because not only is it guaranteed to get out to the broader media, it also seriously undermines any arguments be brings to the table.
And for a member of the American Medical Association’s House of Delegates to do this? Does he seriously have this little common sense?

Previously the American Medical Association came out strong against any sort of public plan, but then Obama talked to them and now they seem to be falling in line.
Now, I’m under no illusions that Obama swayed them to the point that they’re going against their own best interests, but something happened in the last month to make them do a 360 and give a thumbs up to a public plan.

Yesterday, President Obama addressed one of the groups most concerned with the health care reform plans: the American Medical Association.
With good reason, the AMA is worried that “health care reform” will be primarily paid for through significant reductions in what physicians earn.
But Obama thinks he can still win their support:

President Obama travels to Chicago Monday to address the annual meeting of the American Medical Association. The nation's largest doctor group is legendary for torpedoing several previous efforts to overhaul the nation's health care system.
However, the AMA's clout isn't what it used to be.

While the specifics of President Obama’s health care plan are still being hashed out, doctors are already getting nervous.
The fear? The burdens of the new system will be inordinately placed on doctors. Dr. Scott Gottlieb has a good look at the concerns in today’s Wall Street Journal.

Glad to see national coverage on ABC News about Judge Sharon Killer’s refusal to keep the Court of Criminal Appeals open an extra 20 minutes to allow defense lawyers, who were apparently having computer/technical difficulties, to file a stay of execution.
