Bank Robbed In NW Austin

Austin police are on the scene of a bank robbery in far Northwest Austin.

Someone robbed the Wells Fargo at Hwy 183 and Lake Creek Parkway, just south of SH 45/FM 620.

Occupy Houston Evicted From Park

The Occupy Houston protest at a city park has ended peacefully as officials clean up the public site to prepare for spring festivals.

Authorities say no arrests were immediately reported as the last handful of demonstrators, including those camping, left the downtown Houston park Monday night.

Austin Man Tries To Pay For Lap Dance With Cocaine

A man has been arrested after trying to pay for a lap dance at an Austin strip club with crack cocaine and then resisting arrest.

Authorities say 26-year-old Ricardo Luna, arrested Sunday, has been charged with retaliation, resisting arrest and harassment of a public servant.

Police are hoping to launch a new program to catch criminals, but they need help from local Austin businesses.

The Austin Police Department is looking for businesses to give them access to their company's internet based surveillance cameras.

Whitney Houston Autopsy Complete But No Word On Cause Of Death

Investigators say it could be weeks before toxicology tests reveal what caused the death of Whitney Houston.

Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday night.

Officials performed an autopsy Sunday but Monday the Los Angeles Coroner's Office said it could be weeks before investigators know the exact cause of death.

Snow Delays Some West Texas Schools

Some schools in West Texas have delayed opening due to winter weather that left behind nearly 3 inches of snow.

Texas Tech University in Lubbock canceled morning classes Monday and ordered the regular schedule to resume at noon amid freezing temperatures and misty conditions.

Gas Prices Up In Austin

Gas prices in Austin rose almost three cents a gallon last week.

According to AustinGasPrices.com, the average price was $3.40 Sunday.

Gas prices are 46 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 20 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
