kinkyfriedman.com Texas humorist and musician Kinky Friedman dropped his bid for the governor's seat today , after meeting with current Democratic candidates Bill White and Farouk Shami.

Instead, he said, he intends to run as the democratic nominee for Texas Commissioner of Agriculture, something that another fellow named Hank Gilbert already his sights set on.
