Hit The Road, Jack: Mohammad Now England's Top Name

The most popular name for baby boys in much of England — Jack — has been overtaken by Mohammad.

Last year in London, twice as many babies were named Mohammad as the second-place name, Daniel. Mohammad is already the top choice for a baby boy in other European capitals — and the most popular male name in the world.

Baby Names

Maybe in London, more Mohammads than Jacks, but for the UK as a whole Jack topped the list last year as in every other recent year, and Mohammad was not even in the top ten, according to the official statistics seen here:
