Cloud computing and e-book readers are at the peak of their hype and there are a few new entrants to Gartner’s 2009 hype cycle chart.

At least social software and microblogging are on the way down. Among some of the new entrants at the Gartner IT Symposium: Human augmentation; 3-D flat panel displays; Internet TV; Home health monitoring; Quantum computing.
