Immediately below the calendar block on your right, you will see the ical link. This is the site's iCalendar feed.
To get the feed into your own iCalendar compatible program, drag the link and drop it into your application.
You will see the events from the Northloop Neighborhoods calendar automagically start to appear in your calendar. That's it! You can now sort and filter the events just the way you like it. You can even print them out.
Older calendar applications that do not support drag-n-drop may allow you to manually import the feed. You will have to download a file called calendar.ics first.
Importing calender.ics
- Click on the ical link.
- At the prompt, save calendar.ics in a convenient location.
- Open your calendar application and import this file.
- The Import utility is usually located under the File menu.
Google Calendar
- Log into your account at http://calendar.google.com
- Click on the "Add" Button at the top of the "My Calendars" block
- Click on "Add by URL"
- Drag the "ical" link from nlw into the "Public Calendar Address" field and click the "Add" button next to it
- You're done. Watch your calendar fill up (may take a few seconds)
Paper Calendars
- Since calendar.ics is a text file, you can print it out. But it won't be terribly convenient to read. You will need a sharp, really sharp, eye to pick out event information <:)
- Try printing out one of the many calendar views instead.
- The month at-a-glance is probably a good one to start with. Some users like it a lot.
