Below is a message that FixAustin.org sent out to our supporters about a wonderful new effort in town led by Austin Pets Alive.  They are implementing some of the adoption methods that we've been pushing the city's shelter to implement, and we're trying to help them.  If you've got some room in your house (and your heart), please consider fostering a pet through Austin Pets Alive.  Links for more information are in the e-mail below.Thanks,

As a humorous aside, Lee Leffingwell told a friend of mine that he was actually quite pleased with our write-up about him ("I got three paws!").  He said he expected much worse.
