[nndl] Potluck Monday

Happy Thanksgiving everybody.

Jody Horton is out of town, and he asked that somebody send out a
reminder that the holiday potluck dinner will be Monday night at
Dayspring Chapel (corner of 56th and Ave.

[nndl] Neighbor Jan Seward recognized for long time involvement....

Sunday afternoon, Zilker Park Musical Theater celebrated 50 years presenting show done wholly by volunteer and free to the public.  See write up in this weeks Chronicle page 34-the arts, and the column about Northfield's Jan Seward's multi year involvement.  As she said to me, "This [Zilker Theater] is what I did, before I got involved in my neighborhood."

Congratulations and thank you, Jan.

[nndl] Re: [NNADL] Northfield Neighborhood Watch Underway!

Thanks, Michelle for all this very good info.

By the way, my last name is Patrick (not Partrick).

Thanks,

Mary

[nndl] what list to keep?

I think we should keep the list that is just for Northfield (I guess
that is the NNADL), and 86 the one that encompases other neighboring
areas (the NNDL?). If I'm not mistaken, most of our adjoining
neighborhoods have their own mailing lists. Perhaps the resident
webmaster would be so kind as to put a link to those on the NA homepage,
so that anyone who wanted to distribute info to the neighboring areas

[nndl] Fw: [NNADL] Why so many lists?

Sebastian,

This is a tough question. There are multiple constituencies and multiple channels. If those things have to be maintained, then part of the equation is figuring out the lengths to which people will go to make an effort to stay informed.

[nndl] Why so many lists?

So it looks like the battle over the development is more or less over,
so now I'd like to turn to the question, "how do we stop this
foolishness from happening again."

This experience has revealed several problems to me, and with the rest
of my tenure as president of the neighborhood association, I'd like to
address some of these problems.

First things first, how many e-mail lists do we need?

It helps to know some of the history behind the lists that we have.

[nndl] Re: [NNADL] FW: why start I Love North Loop

I want to comment that this new website is really a Blog by an neighbor
within the neighborhood. The blog has a great name and maybe we should
buy it because of that but the official website is a singular site
always referenced in the emails, at the bottom, coming from the NNDL

RE: [nndl] Re: [NNADL] I Love North Loop & Censorship?

Lisa,

That's really below the belt. There have been all sorts of e-mail issues
going on with the server. Ask anyone. I thought we were finally beyond the
bickering and name calling. Let's move forward not backward.

Respectfully.

Stefan

That's not exactly "In the spirit of openness and neighborhood
involvement", is it?

We did support a zero rear setback for the Satsuma 53 project.
