[nndl] Re: [NNADL] Fwd: break in

Two things:

- Regarding APDs lack of response to this situation, could we publicize it a
little to increase the pressure? Back in September, there were a bunch of tire
slashings in north campus/Hyde Park and the media was all over it. Could the NA
reach out to the media outlets to see if they could provide some coverage and
maybe increase the pressure?

- I know there was some talk previously about mapping these occurrences out but

[nndl] what list to keep?

I think we should keep the list that is just for Northfield (I guess
that is the NNADL), and 86 the one that encompases other neighboring
areas (the NNDL?). If I'm not mistaken, most of our adjoining
neighborhoods have their own mailing lists. Perhaps the resident
webmaster would be so kind as to put a link to those on the NA homepage,
so that anyone who wanted to distribute info to the neighboring areas

Re: [nndl] what is that cool sound?

It's a screech owl. There have been a lot more of them this year, due
to the rainy spring. -- L.

It suddenly occurred to me that you must be talking about Mike Dahmus,
who is really more of a sensible compact urban growth activist than a
bicycle activist. I've known Mike for many years, and, although a
curmudgeon from head to toe, he always has intelligent things to say

I like the way you've set up the discussion threads on
ilovenorthloop.com, but might I suggest that such a forum should be
subscriber based (i.e. requiring moderator approval)? The way it's set

You'll have to take this issue up with Clay Crenshaw -- he's in charge

RE: [nndl] Re: [NNADL] I Love North Loop & Censorship?

Lisa,

That's really below the belt. There have been all sorts of e-mail issues
going on with the server. Ask anyone. I thought we were finally beyond the
bickering and name calling. Let's move forward not backward.

Respectfully.

That's not exactly "In the spirit of openness and neighborhood
involvement", is it?
