backyard (5504 Duval) a huge Husky dog with a collar.  Have never
seen her before.  She's well taken care of and very friendly.  My
neighbor and I got him in the yard because we were afraid he would get run
over.

[nndl] Stolen Lawnmower

Stolen Lawnmower

A lawnmower was stolen from the carport of my neighbor’s house on the 200 block of West 55th street last week.  It was in the middle of the day.

Just thought we should let everyone know. Justin Christopher

[nndl] Van Break In

Last night my neighbor on the 5400 block of Link had his construction
van (parked on the street) broken into, and several hundred dollars
worth of tools were stolen.

Re: [nndl] Re: [NNADL] Endeavor has dropped the project

Dear Everyone,

Do we all think it is possible to tell someone who they can sell their property
to? Interesting concept.

I am responding to Ms. Horton's statement that "I don't think being in the
neighborhood for any length of time entitles anyone to sell their property for
any purpose. If your next door neighbor had lived there for 60 years and wanted
to sell his home to a developer to build a super 2 would this same argument
apply?"

Re: [nndl] getting involved

Hi Beka,

Thanks for the good word.

I think canvassing the hood is a great idea.

I'm game.

Would anyone else be willing to help?

Yes, I would be willing to write an article for the newsletter.
Will you be in charge of this one?

[nndl] getting involved

Jody--

Comment on getting neighbors involved:
I recall when I was in junior high (I'm in my 50s now), dad went up and down
our street getting people to sign up for city water and city sewers. It was
probably equivalent of Nelray or Franklin from Lamar to Link. It meant
talking to everyone. I didn't pay attention to the project, but I remember
him going out at night after dinner for weeks.

Yeah, informing neighbors and getting them involved takes a lot of effort
