Re: [nndl] correction: zoning changes and alcohol consumption on north loop

Hi all -

I think one thing needs to be clarified and this is an oversight on my
part in reading the draft of the NNA minutes: the NNA meeting minutes
reported that The Loop location is zoned GR - general retail - and that
Brian and Orion are needing a CS or CS-1 zoning to sell beer and wine.

I believe that Brian and Orion told us at the NNA meeting that the
location is zoned CS already, which would allow retail of wine and beer
(no consumption on the property).

[nndl] correction: zoning changes and alcohol consumption on north loop

I meant to say "voting to change a zoning", not "voting to change a permit"
Sorry again for being imprecise. I do not feel in my element, when talking
permits zoning, etc etc.

[nndl] Re: [NNADL] t-mobile reception--comments anyone

used to have t-mobile and reception was very iffy. we live @ north loop & guadalupe. they would drop our calls ALOT. daily in fact. we switched to sprint about 6 months ago and have been VERY happy with the reception, the customer service, the rate plans and the phones (i have an LG w/ flip out keyboard that totally rules!).

RE: [nndl] recycling old batteries--convenient location

I wouldn't think anyone would want to take
broken CFLs. The main concern is the release
of mercury, but that happens when you break
the tube.

RE: [nndl] recycling old batteries--convenient location

Will Radio shack take broken compact fluorescent bulbs?

I believe it does not. all of the places on my original list take Batteries
ONLY.

Re: [nndl] recycling old batteries--convenient location

Patrick,

Our brains are on the same wavelength today.
I was thinking about the exact same issue after
I read Laura's note.

I was at a presentation on Earth Day where they
talked about CFL bulb disposal.

What about broken Compact Fluorescent Bulbs?

Volunteers will be planting 30 donated trees!

Please contact Laura Mondino at [at]

Re: [nndl] Officer Nominations

I had to miss the meeting tonight, and am happy to see that Tim volunteered for the webmaster position.
Since I was offering my participation in case there were no other people coming forward, (and Tim did, thank
you!), then there is no need to do a ballot with two names. I am certain Tim will do this better than i
would!
