[nndl] PS on the Tent Revival

Folks -

My concern about the tent revival has nothing to do with peoples' right
to gather, free speech, etc. In other words - the nature of the
gathering is irrelevant.

My concern is the precedent that may be set in this "renting" out the
lot for public gatherings. The next group may want to feature their
new band for a weekend - what a great place to do that - right on Lamar,
tons of traffic and people.



 

[nndl] Missing Boy Found Safe

The missing 5-year-old boy was found unharmed. The kidnappers apparently dropped him off, possibly spooked by the publicity.  He was found near the 800 block of Fairfield Dr./N. Lamar, just north of 183.

But, Patrick, Barton Springs Rd. has cuts through the median so one can
access the restaurants so, in a strict sense, the original premise of
"name a fast food restaurant that is only accessible from one side of
the street" is still up in the air.  And I disagree about N. Lamar
being accessible from the one side - most of it has the ubiquitous

For all practical purposes, any fast food joint on N. Lamar is only
accessible from that side of the street; i.e. trying to get across Lamar
is no less, likely more, complicated than making a U-turn at
Chesterfield. I really don't think the divided roadway thing is a good
