Re: [nndl] good plumber

For my garage apartment remodel, I've been working with
Mann Plumbing -- Lupe has been my main contact. They were
quick and very affordable. Their bid was about half of my
next best -- I guess all the others (6-8 companies) had
plenty of work so they submitted ridiculous bids. My work
included an on-demand water heater.

Re: [nndl] good plumber

Wilson Plumbing was previously recommended on the list.

[nndl] Worth a visit! Ridgetop Hoopla TODAY!

just went by to see our local Ridgetop history, from 1917 -an  eight -sided school house (used till 1947) , pre-IH 35; no Capital Plaza -- till today and the performance of the 5th Graders version of "You Can Feel It All Over" by Stevie Wonder...Chicken b/b/q-ing outside and well its clear our school is an asset for Ridgetop.

Going back after work for more fun, Hope to see you there....Channel 8 was taping the show and a couple of former stude

Re: [nndl] speed bumps and the city - link to article

Here is the link for the speed bump article.  Could Ridgetop have saved city $$$'s and gotten much needed sidewalk or two as well. Our City installed speed bumps require no reduction of speed, as far as I can reckon.

[nndl] Fw: accident at Harmon & 52nd street last night @ 11pm - signage fails....

This is an example why the RIDGETOP community asked for the IH-35 - E.

Re: [nndl] Code Enforcement

I think it has been pointed out before, but this is a pretty good
escalation path:

- Establish a relationship as early as possible with your new
neighbors. Once a relationship has been established, people are
somewhat less likely to become a nuisance. If you do have a
relationship, then it becomes a little easier to mention your concerns
to them.
- Failing that, escalate to the management company. Lee Properties and
Uptown Realty are active in our area.

Re: [nndl] Code Enforcement

Consider making a I-phone video or pics of the situation - submit it w/ the date to code enforcement and the council members that you especially supported - particularly as such issues relate to McDorms.  Invite one of their staff to come out and see what as school approoaches, will likely be a more common occurrance - invite them to work w/ you to develop solutions that are more effective and longer-lasting - like fining the owner of the property for repeat offenses.....Martha
