[nndl] Traffic Calming

I am so sorry for the loss of pets -- I have two cats that I care about
deeply, and I can only imagine how devastating it would be to have them
killed by a callous and indifferent driver.

I think some people believe the neighborhood association has done little
on the issue of traffic calming, but as traffic is a major theme in our
neighborhood plan, I've been pushing for traffic calming quite a bit
over the past few years.

[nndl] Contact information for the owner of apartments on Franklin?

Hello. Does anybody have the contact information for the owners of the
apartments at Franklin and Chesterfield? These are the apartments next
to Waller Creek to the north and south of Franklin Ave.

Jessica Wilson from Keep Austin Beautiful would like to keep them
apprised of their activities in the creek.

Also, don't forget, Jessica and KAB are asking volunteers to help them
clean up and landscape the area around the endangered plants there this
weekend. (see below)

[nndl] nlw - aggregation & sneak peak at new homepage

Hi Folks,

Some of you had asked, "What's up with home page on the nlw?"

As you may have noticed, the site is currently aggregating
content from a wide range of sources and dumping them,
rather unceremoniously, on the home page.

Due to pressures at work, I did not get to finish what I had
started--a new home page, which would have imposed order on the
current chaos.

Here is sneak peak at what's to come

[nndl] RE: How do we avoid this issue in the future?

Don't count on consolidation.

NNDL- The moderator sees no neighborhood boundaries. Lost pets and crime
don't. He sees UT as in his backyard, so he likes the broadness of NNDL.

NLNPT- North Loop Neighborhood Planning Team. Is an official entity that
came up with plans for Airport, N Loop, obviously Koenig, and maybe Lamar.
They are a diverse group encompassing several neighborhoods, have invested a
LOT of time on growth and development of adjoining neighborhoods. Don't

RE: [NNADL] [nndl] How do we avoid this issue in the future?

Yes, one mailing list would be great.
It seems like there is even a 3rd one... nlnpt? I keep getting bounces.

As for getting involved and volunteering, I would be happy to help with
consolidating lists and transferring recipients to one list only.

(or understand what is the difference between the 2 (or 3?) mailing lists.)

Question to the nnadl and nndl list manager(s)
Does anyone know what the nlnpt list is? Is it different?
