East Austin supermarket scene of carjacking

An East Austin supermarket was the scene of a carjacking Tuesday afternoon.

According to Austin police, it happened just after noon at the Fiesta Mart located at the northeast corner of the I-35 and 38th ½ Street intersection.

Police say the victim was standing outside his truck when he was approached by a man with a black handgun who demanded the keys.
