A McDonald's server in the Netherlands sold her colleague a hamburger. The co-worker paid, and then asked for a slice of cheese.
The server said sure. McDonald's fired her, saying the cheese was an illegal free gift. The BBC reports that a court ruled McDonald's owes the woman nearly $6,000.
The court said the dismissal was too severe.
