Council's Split Decision: Good for Homeless Pets, Bad for Democr...

On Thursday, October 11th, the citizens of Austin were out in full force attempting to convince our City Council to do the right thing--- to rebuild our animal shelter on the shores of Town Lake (now Lady Bird Lake).  Regrettably, the Council made the wrong decision; they decided, by a 6-1 vote, to relocate Austin's animal shelter to a difficult-to-find, out-of-sight, out-of-mind site near the intersection of Airport Boulevard and East 7th Street.
