Austin, Here's Your 2009 Google Zeitgeist

Travis County Jail, a curious item on the Austin Zeitgeist The Long Center , Cap Metro , and the ceaseless expansion of the Birds Barbershop brand were all among the top things on Austinites' minds this year, according to Google's annual Zeitgeist listing .

"Each year, we examine the billions of queries that people around the world have typed into Google search to discover the zeitgeist—the spirit of the times," says Google.
